"Avatar" (from Sanskrit "avatara") is a traditional Eastern term for Divine Incarnation. It literally means "One who is descended, or 'crossed down' (from, and as, the Divine)". Avatar Adi Da Samraj is also called the "Avataric Incarnation", or the Divinely Descended Embodiment, of the Divine Person. The reference "Avataric Incarnation" indicates that Avatar Adi Da Samraj fulfils both traditional expectation of the East...
He also fulfilled the traditional expectation of the West — that True Enlightenment or Realisation is an Incarnation, or an utterly human Embodiment of this pure state. He called it Prior Unity, and this is the gift he offers to everyone. The uniqueness is that the way of Adidam is both Transcendental and Spiritual.
Avatar Adi Da Samraj devoted His human life (1939-2008) to Revealing and Establishing a means for all human beings to discover the ultimate nature of Reality, which He describes as Conscious Light, or the “Bright”.
Avatar Adi Da communicated the “Bright” not just through words or philosophy, but by His direct Spiritual Transmission of It.
He Revealed and Established a new sacred tradition: the Way of Adidam. His numerous books of spiritual, philosophical, social, and practical wisdom are widely acknowledged as among the most insightful spiritual teachings and wisdom of this age.
In response to His Wisdom and Blessings, sacred centers and sanctuaries have been established globally.
Adi Da offers a relationship NOT techniques of self-improvement. We invite you explore this direct relationship to Him through reading His Teaching, hearing His Discourses , seeing Him sitting in Sacred Occasions or darshan.
We also encourage you to contact your regional community to participate in events, courses and retreats in your area. The link to Adidam Official site is here
